Amazed by the honeybee, we started a backyard hive about 10 years ago. We networked between Craigslist and Freecycle online websites to locate equipment and hives we needed to become instant beekeepers. It took only a few days to find what we needed to house the bees, and voila! Beekeepers!
After about 4 months, we harvested delicious honey!
